Driver's License Road Test

We are certified by the SCDMV to administer the road test for applicants wishing to obtain an SC Driver's License.

The road test is included as an option for some of our teen course packages. We are also happy to test hourly students who have completed a minimum of two training hours with 123 Drive! Driving Academy. The cost of the test for hourly students is $50.

There are never any guarantees that an applicant will pass their road test when testing with the DMV or with us. We follow the same protocol and scoring system in our testing as the examiners at the DMV. The advantages of testing with our safety officers are that the students know us and have more of a comfort level with us, and we can be more flexible with our hours for testing.

***IMPORTANT*** SCDMV will occasionally recall a student to be retested with a DMV Examiner, after they have tested with us, for quality assurance.  This is random and rare, but can and does occur.  If a student is recalled when they go to the DMV to get their license, they will likely have to go back another day to retest due to DMV scheduling constraints.  If we were contracted to take the student to the DMV for their license picture, we have completed that obligation and we have no control over the DMV recalling a student. We will gladly take a student back for their retest for an additional $75 fee or students can go to the DMV and retest in their own vehicle with no additional fee.
